So the long awaited season 2 is here. Can’t believe the first season aired in the beginning of 2019. Maybe it was because of the pandemic but things did change in season 2 and probably going forward.

So spoilers for the manga and anime from here on.

So yes they changed things and probably getting rid of a few arcs from the looks of episode 4.

And I think the biggest issue here is this:

The pretty much avoided a whole arc with guns and teaching the kids how to use them. This may have something to do with the higher ups not wanting to send this kind of message. I mean from the American side of things I can see why they might not want to show kids learning and shooting guns. Anime has done this before but probably not a popular series like this one.

In the manga guns play a huge role in helping the kids match the demons in combat.

Or maybe the creators wanted to do something more natural. Guns are kind of a cheat. And it’s not too realistic to have 12 year old's carrying heavy guns like they were made of plastic.

And maybe Mujika might have a bigger role to play in the anime. She is important in the Manga but only until the end. I forgot all about her until they mentioned her again.

She is in so much key art and even in the ending song it feels like a waste if they didn’t make her story involvement bigger.

Overall the arcs feel more rushed and Mujika got a ton of screen time compared to the manga chapters. And the safe house was over in just one episode.

And the phone call which was suppose to happen in the Goldy Pond arc now is just kind of filler with no real new info.

So predictions:

They might skip the Goldy Pond arc since I don’t think it will make sense now. Norman might come save them sooner or he may not. At this point anything can happen. The bow seems to be more important now. In the manga they pretty much use guns since it’s just a huge upgrade.
