So I guess I was right.

Also while a good episode it didn’t really fit into the series as a whole. There was a sort of time skip and didn’t flashback into how they got there.

And I guess we’ll never see this:

The kids still are using bow and arrows. During their escape they couldn’t find something better?

This is pretty much an example of lazy writing. If they wanted nonlinear story they should have done so in the beginning not at episode 5.

Season one was linear the kids plotted to escape and they did. There wasn’t any flashbacks or forwards expect for the Mother. There was a timeline. Now in season two I guess they just wanted to race towards the ending.

This would have been ok if there was some set up or warning. Since episode one takes place right after the ending of season one. I figured it would continue following the story in real time. There was some montages but nothing too much. It seems like they were in that temple for almost a year. Since everyone looks older.

Norman showing up to save them is fine but I hope they reveal his backstory in the next episode. And it looks like my gun theory is looking more solid with each passing episode. What happened to the people behind the soldiers who attacked the shelter? How did they escape that demon in the forest?

Don’t think any of those questions matter since they are heading towards the endgame now.
