Getting into Gods Unchained 5/19/20 part 1
So just started today and want to document my journey to see if I can actually make money in this online card game. Been playing Hearthstone since open beta and been itching for a new game I can try.
Read about how you can make money just by playing this game so why not? Now the main issue is that it’s in Ethereum. While not a deal breaker it’s just gets more complicated then regular currency.
A while ago Diablo 3 did this with a real money market. Where players could sell their items for their countries currency. But it was unregulated and the game was broken as heck so it didn’t last long.
So set up was pretty easy but it’s not very issuer friendly at first. You need a wallet to connect. They recommend Metamask so you need that set up and connected.
I already have Coinbase which I just found out I could have just connected but whatever it doesn’t hurt to have another digital wallet.
Did the basic and learned how to actually play the game by watching this video.
Won my first game and got a pack, sorry forgot to screen shot the cards but they all seem to be common and from the unlocked set. I guess once I start getting real packs from what I read is around every 10 levels.
And browsing their Reddit it seems the game is still kind of buggy and missing a few features. You don’t own your cards yet since you have to forge them. As a free to play player I guess I’ll just grind it out to see my first forge. And buying packs seem to be down or they aren’t selling packs normally? Not going to worry about that.
Set up and play took me about a few hours just to get the hang of it. While not the easiest interface to get the hang of it, I think getting everything to work is rewarding like finishing a Lego set.
The GUI does need work as it doesn’t really let you know if your clicking thru the right things to play a game.
Maybe we have been spoiled with better design but I think the Devs really want us to work for it.
Anyway until next time, I’m gonna keep at it.
